 Course Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of competencies in various work contexts in the music industry.

They may work in music performance, sound production, music creation and composition, music business.

The job roles that relate to this qualification may include assistant sound technician, assistant music manager, musician, sound assistant and road crew.

 Units of Competency

Core units include:

  • CUACMP311 Implement copyright arrangements
  • CUAIND313 Work effectively in the music industry
  • CUAIND314 Plan a career in the creative arts industry

 Work Placement

There is no mandatory work placement for this course.

 Eligibility for Qualification

Nationally Registered Training LogoThe Certificate III in Music requires 11 units, comprised of 3 core units and 8 elective units. 

Students assessed as fulfilling the requirements for all the units in the 240 hour course will be eligible for the CUA30920 Certificate III in Music. 

Students achieving at least one unit of competency will be eligible for an AQF Statement of Attainment showing partial completion of their qualification.
