Course Description

This qualification provides a trade outcome in plumbing.

Core units include:

HLTAID011 Provide first aid
CPCPCM2043 Carry out WHS requirements
CPCPCM2039 Carry out interactive workplace communication
CPCPCM3024 Prepare simple drawings
CPCPCM2040 Read plans, calculate quantities and mark out materials
CPCPCM2046 Use plumbing hand and power tools
CPCPCM3023 Fabricate and install non-ferrous pressure piping
CPCPWT3021 Set out and install water services
CPCPWT3022 Install and commission water heating systems and adjust controls and devices
CPCPWT3025 Install water pumpsets
CPCPWT3020 Connect and install storage tanks to a domestic water supply
CPCPWT3027 Install backflow prevention devices

Elective units include:

CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
CPCPCM2052 Weld mild steel using oxy-acetylene equipment
CPCPWT3028 Install property service
CPCPIG3021 Set out, install and commission irrigation systems
CPCPIG3022 Install and commission domestic irrigation pumps

Eligibility for Qualification

Nationally Registered Training Logo The Certificate III in Plumbing requires 58 units of competency, comprised of 43 core units and 15 elective units.

Students are undertaking a Statement of Attainment towards the Certificate III in Plumbing. Students will receive an AQF Statement of Attainment showing partial completion of the CPC32420 Certificate III in Plumbing listing the units of competency achieved based on the delivery and assessment of units.
