Course Description

Community Dance, Theatre, or Events is designed to equip students with foundational skills in creative arts.

This course covers a broad range of topics, including work health and safety practices, inclusive work practices, career planning in the creative arts industry, and various performance techniques such as acting, vocal, dance partnering, and musical theatre. Participants will also learn about integrating rhythm into movement activities, costume knowledge, and audition preparation. The course aims to foster creativity, teamwork, and professional development, preparing students for diverse roles within the creative arts sector.

Core units include:

Work Placement

Students are required to participate in a minimum of 2 performance events in a professional theatre.

Eligibility for Qualification

Nationally Registered Training Logo The Certificate III in Community Dance, Theatre and Events requires 13 units, comprised of 4 core units and 9 elective units.

Students assessed as fulfilling the requirements for all the units of competency in the course will be eligible for the Certificate III in Community Dance, Theatre and Events.

Students achieving at least one unit of competency will be eligible for an AQF Statement of Attainment showing partial completion of their qualification.
